Lessons, trips, meeting friends ... all in a friendly environment

Our four days with Lucia, “breaking the ice” in speaking and understanding Italian, has been so short, but invaluable! Lucia is an excellent teacher who can turn a challenge into fun with her exercises and games. We have gained confidence in communicating and a resolute desire to keep improving our Italian. But that is only part of what she offers. Her repertoire of daily excursions and experiences with food and culture are well thought cut, sending us off, totally in love with this region. Grazie grazie for such a lovely stay in your home! I was a bit nervous at first but you’ve been great at quickly making me feel welcome and comfortable. Even in a short week, I think my Italian has improved and I’m feeling much more confident with it now. It was great to spend time with you and your lovely family! I arrived feeling anxious and leave feeling more confident. Thank you for your infinite patience and kindness during my 8-day immersion. Learning at your table, in the car, on a hike, at restaurant or wherever our many excursions took us was a lesson that didn’t feel like a lesson. You are a wonderful host and teacher and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of your life, if only briefly.
