Founded in 1852, the Winery is the oldest 7th-generation family-run business in the hilly DOCG area between the towns of Romagnano Sesia and
Ghemme, Lower Valsesia, Northeastern Piedmont Region. This is a well-known wine-producing territory with family traditions and values handed
down from the past to the present.
The story began in 1852, when Michelangelo Ioppa originally purchased the best vineyard land in the local hills still grown nowadays.
And today, almost two centuries later, the story continues with the same passion, hard work and perseverance.

In 1997, Corrado and his wife Cecilia founded the Valle Roncati Agricultural Company out of pure passion and the desire to revive the
ancient grape-growing tradition of the Fassa family, thus following in the footsteps of his grandfather Giuseppe Fassa, a winegrower in Briona since the
beginning of the twentieth century.
The vineyards in the town of Briona and those in the town of Ghemme and Sizzano are located in hilly positions at about 260 meters above sea level The clay soil is characterized by stones and pebbles that reduce the vigor of the plant and thus favoring the quality of the fruit.
